More pet types/damage types?
Just a few ideas I thought I'd thow out there. I'm sure it hasn't been the first time these were thought about or put in a forum, but never bad to keep thinking.
Idea: More pet options/types/damage types.
Sub ideas:
* Make new charmable pets with inherant damage types (Holy, Dark, Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Blunt) each with a special inherant ability for their kind.
** Holy beasts-(some celestial animals like that at Nahpui or Kirin), Dark beasts (horse nightmares, Grasps, shadow-like masses or cthuluish stuff, Earth beasts (I dunno, obsidian rams... rock golems... , Air Beasts (wind dervishes/cyclones or a dark rainy cloud that rains constantly lol, Water Beasts (water/ice leviathan/krakken), .... um.. blunt beasts? (treants, rams)
*** These would be obtainable only thru going to specific areas into a god's territory, so make them instanced elite areas (like urgoz) or like Sorrow's, or Dragon's Lair.
---------------
* Make classes be able to "summon" TEMPORARY pets with specific damage types (Warrior/Warhound, Assassin/Rabbid Squirrel on a string, Mesmer/Illusionary pet, Elementalist/Elemental pets)
**In order to summon these pets, requires a "Res Signent" kind of skill, and can only be renewed the normal way of that with Res Sigs (So that it doesn't take away from the benefit of being a ranger)
--------------
* Make Rangers be able to "infuse" pets with damage types, or damage abilities.
** Have instanced missions specific to the kind of "infusion" for the pet.
*** Give the pet a distinct "look" in order to show the kind of infusion "Holy-holyish aura, dark-mutated shadowy form, earth-Rock-like or obsidian skin, fire-leaves a trail of fiery footprints or smoke or blazing eyes, water-icy footprints cold breath trail, air-electric currents across body or electrically charged eyes...
-------
Again just ideas and thoughts... nothing I think that should be "hardcore set-in-stone"

hmm for one only rangers should have pets, I'm definitely up for new pet types, and the infuse thing. Don't knwo how much ofthis would work, nor if it will be implemented but I give ya the benefit of the doubt
/partial sign, everything except part 2.

Right on,
the main idea is for "Idea: More pet options/types/damage types"
The sub ideas are more for "suggestions", possible ways to go about accomplishing the main idea. Not saying all of these ideas should be implimented, or any of them for that matter. But just making suggestions on "how" to do it rather than saying "why it can't be done".
So Main Idea- What I would like to see implimented in the game
Sub Idea- Supporting the main idea with 'suggestions' on how to do it.

This would be one more reason to have a pet stable/storage option. You would really want to be able to change pets on a regular basis.
